Overview
We are seeking an Analytics / BI Engineer to leverage a newly built data platform for creating user-friendly reporting solutions. The contractor will collaborate with teams to build dashboards in Power BI and transition reporting to the new architecture while utilizing tools like dbt and Snowflake for analytics and data modeling. This role is ideal for someone experienced in both traditional and modern analytics solutions, particularly within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Build interactive reporting and dashboards using Power BI.
- Collaborate on the migration of reporting from Oracle Analytics Server to the new data platform.
- Model data for analytics using dbt on Snowflake to ensure effective reporting.
- Explore and implement Snowflake Cortex for AI-driven insights in reporting.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements for reporting needs.
- Optimize existing reports and dashboards based on user feedback and usability tests.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Power BI and dashboard creation.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).
- Proficiency in SQL and dbt for data modeling and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience delivering analytics solutions on Snowflake.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools in analytics and reporting.
- Experience in regulated-sector reporting is a plus.
