Overview
This contract role for an Analytics Engineer focuses on modernizing a digital business's analytics infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Rebuild LookML models to reflect real-world business processes and logic.
- Design and implement dbt models that power clean, consistent metrics.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver intuitive analytics experiences.
- Create clear documentation for dashboards, metrics, and models.
- Ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency across Looker and Snowflake.
- Support a stakeholder-first approach to data usability and access.
Requirements
- Extensive experience operating within Snowflake environments.
- Advanced experience with Looker and LookML, including semantic layer modeling and dashboard design.
- Proficiency in SQL and dbt, with a strong understanding of data modeling best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex needs into elegant data solutions.
