Overview
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join a dynamic technology consultancy focused on delivering digital transformation projects for public sector organizations. The role will involve building and enhancing native Android applications while collaborating with various teams to ensure a high-quality user experience. This is a fully remote contract position, ideal for those with active SC clearance and a strong background in Android development.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance native Android applications using Kotlin.
- Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and cloud services.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Contribute to mobile architecture and technical design best practices.
- Drive code quality through testing and modern engineering practices.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Explore new technologies and AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in developing native Android applications.
- Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Experience in building production mobile applications at scale.
- Strong understanding of modern Android architecture (e.g., MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack libraries.
- Familiarity with Coroutines, Flow, and Dependency Injection (Hilt or Dagger).
- Comfortable working in collaborative Agile teams.
- Active SC Clearance (must already hold live clearance).
