Overview

We are seeking a Mandarin-speaking Application Support Analyst to join the technology team for a leading commodities trading and energy organisation. This position involves providing vital 1st and 2nd line application support for business-critical systems while acting as a liaison between business users and technology teams across multiple regions, including Hong Kong, Beijing, and London. The successful candidate will ensure issues are promptly addressed and escalate complex matters as needed, contributing to high service levels in a dynamic trading environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line application support for trading and operational systems.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for application incidents and user inquiries.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues with applications.
  • Escalate complex issues to development or third-party support as necessary.
  • Monitor application performance to ensure operational systems remain effective.
  • Assist with system testing, upgrades, and release activities.
  • Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, operations, and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Application Support or Business Systems Support roles.
  • Strong experience in providing application support within financial services or commodities trading.
  • Ability to investigate functional issues and coordinate technical resolutions.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and change management practices.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Basic SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting international business users across multiple regions.
