Overview
The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for designing and delivering AI workflows and systems for a variety of client challenges, with a focus on applied and production use of LLM applications. Collaborating closely with product managers and clients, the engineer will communicate complex technical concepts clearly and select appropriate AI tools and techniques to optimize project outcomes. This role involves taking ownership of pipelines in production, ensuring quality and performance through meticulous evaluation and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI workflows and systems tailored to client requirements.
- Build and manage LLM pipelines, actively contributing to system design discussions.
- Communicate technical decisions and interactions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Select appropriate tools and techniques for each project while avoiding unnecessary complexity.
- Ensure the quality and performance of AI applications through measurement and evaluation.
- Take responsibility for production-level pipelines and their ongoing maintenance.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with deploying LLM applications in production environments.
- Strong understanding of AI engineering fundamentals and problem-solving techniques.
- Effective communication skills for explaining complex systems to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in building RAG systems with an understanding of trade-offs involved.
- Familiarity with modern AI toolchains and low-code automation platforms.
- Software engineering background, with experience in both ML/data science and AI engineering.
