Overview
As an Associate Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor, you will join a selective panel supporting engagements for Cyber Essentials certifications. You will primarily work with mid-market and enterprise clients in the UK to conduct self-assessment reviews, deliver technical audits, and guide clients through compliance processes. This position emphasizes high-quality assurance delivery, focusing on your expertise in a well-structured, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Cyber Essentials self-assessment reviews and issue certification decisions.
- Deliver technical audits for Cyber Essentials Plus, including various security checks.
- Write clear and defensible assessment reports with certification recommendations.
- Guide client technical contacts on remediation of identified gaps without consultancy drift.
- Maintain comprehensive evidence and audit trails to satisfy IASME standards.
- Participate in internal calibration sessions to uphold assessment quality.
Requirements
- Current IASME assessor licence for Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of experience delivering Cyber Essentials Plus technical audits in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of the five Cyber Essentials controls and the associated question set.
- Practical experience with vulnerability scanning tools relevant to Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Confident in engaging with client IT and security leads including SMEs and enterprise CISO teams.
- UK-based with the right to work and able to operate outside IR35.
- Willing to be publicly listed as an Associate Assessor under Intelance.
