Overview
We are seeking an experienced Authorising Engineer to support operations in the offshore wind sector. The successful candidate will ensure safe and reliable management of HV/LV electrical systems, providing compliance oversight and implementing safety governance measures. You will work closely with operators and stakeholders to enhance electrical safety standards and operational performance within the company's offshore wind portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Act as Authorising Engineer for HV/LV electrical systems, ensuring safety governance and compliance.
- Provide oversight and assurance under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) framework.
- Lead the development and implementation of safe systems of work.
- Support Authorised and Competent Persons in maintaining electrical safety standards.
- Deliver governance, audit, and continuous improvement within O&M and electrical safety processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Authorising Engineer or senior electrical safety role, preferably in offshore wind or power generation.
- Strong understanding of WTSR, HV/LV authorisation, and electrical safety management systems.
- Chartered Engineer status or progress towards it preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
