Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Paint Sprayer to join a dynamic team working on unique automotive projects. The role involves collaborating with a skilled paint team to deliver high-quality painting services while adhering to strict health and safety regulations. The position offers an ongoing contract opportunity within a fast-paced environment, focusing on excellence in craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surface preparation by removing rust, grease, and dirt from metal surfaces.
- Fill cavities and dents with putty to achieve a smooth finish.
- Carefully mask parts that are not to be painted.
- Mix and match paint and coating liquids according to specifications.
- Apply paint to surfaces using either a spray gun or brush as appropriate.
- Inspect painted units for quality, identifying and resolving any defects.
- Maintain your own spray gun, ensuring safe and proper use.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations regarding hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Spray Painter in a professional workshop environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to premium quality.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and work well under pressure.
