Overview
As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our services. Collaborating closely with developers, you will refine our infrastructure as code practices while implementing best security standards. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing costs and introducing observability solutions within our AWS environment, ultimately contributing to our goal of revolutionizing personal finance management.
Responsibilities
- Refine our infrastructure as code (Terraform) and associated CI/CD pipelines.
- Support developers in making changes going forward.
- Introduce and enforce a culture of infrastructure as code through appropriate tooling.
- Critically review and enhance the existing security stance.
- Work with the development team to implement application-level observability solutions (e.g. CloudWatch, Datadog).
- Optimize infrastructure to reduce AWS costs.
- Ensure the smooth operation of EC2 instances.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture principles.
- Deep understanding of AWS services and architecture.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
- Strong knowledge of security best practices in AWS environments.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).
- Experience with serverless architecture and services (e.g., AWS Lambda).
- Linux administration skills and basic shell scripting experience.
