Overview
The Azure DevOps Engineer will be a key player in a new Cloud Platform Engineering team, tasked with creating a greenfield Azure platform for a regulated financial services venture. In this role, the engineer will tackle high-risk platform engineering tasks, focusing on delivering scalable, secure infrastructure using their technical expertise and coding skills, while collaborating closely with other engineers to elevate delivery standards.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver high-risk, complex platform engineering projects.
- Build and enhance Azure landing zones and internal platform services.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service tooling.
- Challenge design assumptions with a code-driven approach.
- Collaborate with engineers to unblock project delivery and improve team standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues related to identity, networking, and security.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineering team members.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering within Azure environments.
- Expertise in Terraform, including module development and integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, and governance.
- Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services or healthcare.
- Proficient in CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, along with automation scripting.
- Ability to troubleshoot complicated infrastructure and security challenges.
- Experience with automated testing and test-driven development for infrastructure changes.
