Overview
We are looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to support a major transformation programme optimizing a modern Azure cloud environment. The contractor will collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilizing their expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure services to enhance cloud infrastructure. The role requires a blend of technical skills and practical experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on strategic implementation and governance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Security, and Development teams to ensure best practices in cloud compliance and governance.
- Implement Azure services like Azure Active Directory, Networking, and Security as part of the transformation programme.
- Structure Azure environments into subscriptions based on Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) guidelines.
- Manage and monitor Azure infrastructure with tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Bicep or ARM Templates.
- Strong background managing Azure-based infrastructure.
- Experience working with Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
- Deep understanding of Azure services including Active Directory, Networking, and Security.
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Dynamics 365, and Azure Service Bus is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cloud compliance, security controls, and automation practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid working environment.
