Overview
The Azure Platform Engineer will play a critical role in transforming an existing complex hosting environment into a modern, scalable platform. The contractor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure automation and support database platform services, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to an optimized Azure setup.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Support automation of database platforms, including SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- Assist in migrating clients from legacy environments to modern platforms.
- Enhance standardization across diverse and bespoke setups.
- Contribute to development of monitoring, automation, and self-service tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Azure cloud services.
- Strong background in Platform Engineering and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on proficiency with Terraform is essential.
- Experience managing Windows workloads, particularly IIS and SQL Server.
- Ability to work in complex, legacy-heavy environments.
