Overview
The Azure Solutions Architect will lead the discovery and migration of a legacy web service into Azure, focusing on delivering a like-for-like replatform with minimal changes. This role will involve close collaboration with the client’s internal team, leveraging deep expertise in Azure and .NET technologies to ensure quality delivery for a major enterprise client's migration program. The position requires a blend of technical acumen and effective communication to engage with senior stakeholders confidently.
Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery phase for the migration of legacy web services into Azure.
- Define and implement migration strategies based on client requirements.
- Collaborate with the client's internal infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration.
- Provide hands-on expertise in Azure App Services, Functions, and API Management.
- Make informed technical decisions to guide the migration process.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to build confidence in the delivery process.
- Support follow-on delivery phases post-discovery as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Azure Solutions Architecture and technical leadership.
- Deep understanding of .NET technologies, specifically WCF, IIS, and SOAP services.
- Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Functions, and API Management.
- Ability to lead discovery phases and define effective migration strategies.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Availability for occasional travel within the UK as required.
