Overview
We are seeking a skilled Back End Developer with expertise in Python and Django for a contract position outside of IR35. The contractor will engage with a prominent FinTech scale-up, enhancing their digital payments and insight platform catering to the automotive industry across the UK and Europe. This role involves working collaboratively with a team of developers to implement high-performance data systems and REST APIs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end services using Python and Django.
- Implement and optimize REST APIs for high-performance data access.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.
- Manage SQL databases and ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in existing applications.
- Contribute to technical documentation and code reviews.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Python and Django frameworks.
- Proficient in developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with SQL databases and database management systems.
- Familiarity with high-performance data systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
