Overview
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a leading eCommerce client's Platform Team, focusing on the design and development of robust, scalable backend services. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative environment, ensuring the platforms meet high traffic and transaction demands. The successful candidate will contribute to building APIs and backend services using Node.js and AWS, employing best practices in development.
Responsibilities
- Build backend services and APIs using Node.js.
- Implement event-driven architecture with AWS services like SQS, SNS, and Lambda.
- Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for complex business modeling.
- Collaborate with the platform team to enhance systems supporting high traffic and transaction volume.
- Design and develop robust APIs with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Utilize microservices architecture and CI/CD practices to streamline deployment and observability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Node.js and TypeScript skills.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services, particularly SQS, SNS, and Lambda.
- Solid understanding and practical application of API design and development principles.
- Extensive experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Demonstrable background in microservices architecture and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in pair programming and cross-functional collaboration.
