Overview
In this role, the Contract Business Analyst will collaborate with a dynamic project team to lead data discovery initiatives while focusing on data security and information governance. The successful candidate will engage with both technical and business stakeholders to analyze data requirements and create actionable plans that ensure data integrity across multiple business domains. This position is well-suited for individuals who excel in complex environments and possess a deep understanding of Microsoft Purview and data security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end data discovery activities across multiple business domains.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to analyze data flows and security requirements.
- Map current-state processes and data journeys, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the migration and standardization of data across various systems and platforms.
- Provide documentation, insights, and recommendations to facilitate decision-making.
- Work within a fast-paced project team to meet milestones and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in data discovery within complex organizations.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Purview, including data classification and governance.
- Background in data security or information security projects.
- Ability to work independently in a focused project team.
- Demonstrable experience mapping processes and data flows end-to-end.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into business insights.
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Azure Information Protection (AIP).
- Understanding of cloud-based collaboration platforms such as OneDrive and SharePoint.
