Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to support a critical government program during its rapid Discovery and Alpha phase. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement and a focus on aligning complex user needs with technical feasibility. The contractor will work fully remote and is expected to lead the translation of requirements into actionable service outcomes while ensuring compliance with governance and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate discovery workshops with public sector stakeholders to translate complex requirements into service outcomes.
- Establish and maintain robust RAID logs to track risks and issues while driving proactive risk mitigation planning.
- Ensure that solution models embed privacy-by-default and adhere to GDPR and UK data protection laws.
- Collaborate with architects to document system visualisations using the C4 model and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Senior / Lead Business Analyst with experience in Discovery and Alpha phases within Central Government or the public sector.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead discussions and gain buy-in across diverse teams.
- Hands-on experience in producing RAID logs, ADRs, C4 models, and risk mitigation documentation.
- Strong understanding of privacy-by-default principles, GDPR compliance, and government cybersecurity standards.
- Security Clearance: Basic BPSS required.
