Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in Specialty Insurance to join a project focused on developing a custom Underwriting Workbench platform. The role involves collaborating with underwriters, product owners, and technology teams to define business requirements and optimize underwriting processes, all while fostering a close-knit working environment with on-site and offshore teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in integrating technology capabilities with business needs, ensuring seamless data flow and enhancing client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Underwriters, Product Owners, and Technology teams to define detailed business and functional requirements for the custom Underwriting Workbench.
  • Map, analyze, and optimize underwriting workflows to align with business objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Drive integration activities with existing policy administration, claims, and workflow systems.
  • Engage with stakeholders to refine CRM and client engagement functionalities for a holistic client view.
  • Facilitate user feedback sessions, demos, and iterative improvements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Support the incorporation of AI-enabled features such as document analysis and email triage.
  • Maintain clear boundaries between analysis, testing, and delivery ownership while promoting team collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in Specialty Insurance, particularly in Lloyd’s or London Market environments.
  • In-depth understanding of Underwriting processes and operational pain points in Specialty lines.
  • Proven track record in insurance system implementation and integration within complex environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for influencing across diverse teams.
  • Experience working with offshore or distributed teams, fostering engagement and accountability.
  • Exposure to AI or automation initiatives related to contract analytics or workflow intelligence is desirable.
  • Collaborative and engaging personality with the ability to bridge business vision with technical execution.
