Overview
In this role, the Business Analyst will support a leading utilities organization during their Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation program, focusing on D365 Field Service capabilities. The contractor will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to capture and analyze requirements, ensuring effective deployment and enhancement of operational processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to influence the project lifecycle in a crucial sector while working primarily remotely with occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for D365 Field Service enhancements and implementations.
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to understand current and future-state processes.
- Produce high-quality functional specifications, process maps, and user stories.
- Work closely with solution architects, developers, and third-party partners to ensure successful delivery of requirements.
- Support solution design, configuration, testing, and UAT activities.
- Identify opportunities to optimize field service operations and business processes.
- Provide stakeholder management across both business and technical teams.
- Support project delivery through implementation, go-live, and hypercare phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service projects.
- Strong understanding of D365 Field Service functionality, workflows, scheduling, and mobile capabilities.
- Experience in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end D365 implementation or transformation programs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Desirable: Experience in the utilities industry and facilities management (FM).
- Desirable: Experience with field service scheduling and resource optimization and Agile delivery experience.
