Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a core mortgage platform replatforming project within a major banking transformation programme. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders, facilitating workshops and gathering requirements to ensure the successful delivery of business solutions. This is a hybrid position, requiring both on-site and remote work, within an established Digital team.

Responsibilities

  • Run business and technical workshops with stakeholders.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Produce high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and process documentation.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria as needed.
  • Support solution design and collaborate with development teams throughout delivery.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning activities.
  • Support UAT and ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Recent experience with mortgage systems is essential.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in writing functional specifications and design documentation.
  • Experience producing process maps and business documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience collaborating with software engineering teams.
