Overview
The Business Analyst will engage in a critical public sector digital programme over a 6-month contract. This role focuses on mobilizing new projects and conducting in-depth analyses to guide teams through various phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring that the digital services align with GDS standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable insights, enhancing service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis efforts on public sector digital engagements.
- Facilitate workshops to engage stakeholders and establish common understanding.
- Map current and future process journeys to identify pain points.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance analysis and documentation processes.
- Drive the project from Discovery through to Alpha and beyond, following the GDS lifecycle.
- Develop structured insights from ambiguous scenarios to inform project priorities.
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary agile teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis within the public sector, preferably central government.
- In-depth knowledge of the GDS Service Standard and project lifecycles.
- Proficient in process mapping, requirements elicitation, and gap analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and provide clarity.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with GDS assessment processes and analytical evidence gathering.
- Comfortable working in agile team environments, contributing to a product-focused approach.
