Overview

The Business Analyst will play a key role in a project aimed at transforming investment reporting processes for a global strategy consulting firm. Working closely with finance stakeholders and the finance systems team, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and documenting the requirements for integrating reporting activities into the new Finance Data Warehouse, ultimately replacing existing Excel-based processes. This hybrid role involves both remote work and in-office collaboration, with a project duration of three months and an immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Document current reporting processes, KPIs, data sources, and gaps.
  • Define how investment reporting will scale into the new finance data warehouse.
  • Develop a tactical classification and data capture approach for integration into the FDW.
  • Act as a liaison between finance stakeholders and the finance systems team.
  • Produce clear, unambiguous documentation for development teams.
  • Organize and structure chaotic data environments.
  • Support senior internal stakeholders in understanding requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong background as a Business Analyst with experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency with Power Query and Alteryx; coding skills are a plus.
  • Experience in financial services, consulting, or similar environments.
  • Solid understanding of finance concepts including P&L, cash flow, KPIs, and variance tracking.
  • Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
