Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in AML and KYC to support a regulatory change programme for a wealth management client. This role involves working closely with various teams, including Compliance and distribution SMEs, to ensure that regulatory requirements are effectively implemented and aligned with industry standards. The initial focus is on a 6-month project that encompasses hands-on delivery and collaboration within an embedded client environment.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, validate, and document regulatory, business, and control requirements aligned to MLR 2017 and regulator expectations.
- Translate regulatory requirements into implementable processes and controls, producing consistent 'as-is' and 'to-be' process models.
- Develop standardised procedures and operational guidance for distribution channels.
- Define data and system requirements, implementing practical manual workarounds as needed.
- Contribute to training materials and support rollout activities across channels from proof of concept to scale.
Requirements
- Strong business analysis experience within financial services, particularly in delivering regulatory change programmes.
- Proven experience in AML, KYC, or regulatory change, with the ability to interpret and apply MLR 2017 and relevant risk-based approaches.
- Demonstrated skill in translating regulatory requirements into practical business process design and controls documentation.
- Experience in wealth management is highly beneficial.
- Strong process mapping skills, capable of producing clear 'as-is' and 'to-be' models in complex environments.
