Overview
We are seeking a Contract Business Analyst with a strong background in data discovery and Microsoft Purview to join a dynamic project team focused on driving data discovery initiatives across critical business areas. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to enhance data security and streamline data processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end data discovery activities across multiple business domains.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand data flows, storage locations, and security requirements.
- Map current-state processes and data journeys, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the migration and standardisation of data across systems and platforms.
- Provide clear documentation, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure milestones are met and deliverables are high quality within the project team.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in data discovery within complex organisations.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Purview, including data classification and governance.
- Background in Data Security, Information Security, or Cyber Security projects.
- Experience working autonomously in small, focused project teams.
- Ability to navigate and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrable skill in mapping processes and data flows end-to-end.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business-friendly insights.
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Azure Information Protection (AIP).
