Overview
As a Business Architect, you will play a vital role in a major transformation programme for a technology client. You will be responsible for blending your expertise in business architecture with strong stakeholder engagement and practical delivery capability. This hands-on position requires you to define and evolve the organization's operating model while ensuring alignment between business strategy and execution, ultimately guiding the organization through architectural changes.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the organisation’s operating model to support the shift from an outsourced model to a right-sourced model.
- Assess current vs. target state, identifying gaps and defining clear remediation plans.
- Ensure the business architecture directly supports the organisation’s strategic goals and transformation objectives.
- Guide the business through architectural and operating model changes, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in.
- Oversee the design and optimisation of core business processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency across the future-state model.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to capture requirements and maintain alignment.
- Define and document the organisational capabilities required to achieve strategic goals.
- Identify and map end-to-end value streams that deliver value to customers.
Requirements
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrable experience in operating model design and implementation.
- Deep understanding of business processes, information flows, and capability modelling.
- Hands-on experience with business architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK, etc.).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using business architecture and modelling tools.
- Previous involvement in transformation or right-sourcing initiatives is highly desirable.
