Overview
The Business Architect will play a pivotal role in a major transformation programme, leveraging their expertise to blend business architecture with practical delivery and stakeholder engagement. Focusing on developing and aligning the organisation's operating model, the contractor will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic objectives are effectively met. This position requires a strategic thinker who can guide the business through architectural changes and optimize core processes for enhanced efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the organization’s operating model to facilitate transformation.
- Assess current and target states, identifying gaps and creating remediation plans.
- Ensure business architecture aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Lead change management initiatives for architectural transitions.
- Oversee the design and optimization of core business processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and communicate decisions.
- Document organizational capabilities needed to meet strategic goals.
- Map end-to-end value streams that enhance customer value.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating model design and implementation.
- Deep knowledge of business processes, information flows, and capability modeling.
- Hands-on experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK).
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with business architecture and modeling tools.
- Involvement in transformation or right-sourcing initiatives is preferred.
