Overview
The Business Objects Developer will work with a public sector organisation, focusing on business intelligence to build and develop data and intelligence products in support of local and national reporting requirements. The contractor will engage with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and support in data development, reporting, and quality assessment to facilitate informed decision-making across the organization. This role will be conducted fully remotely, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Provide business intelligence skills to develop data reporting products.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on data quality as required.
- Offer technical support for the organization’s information resources.
- Advise on data development across various project areas.
- Develop and support interfaces for 3rd party systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build intelligence systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software products.
- Lead bespoke projects and engage with colleagues to meet shared goals.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in IT development or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of server-based database systems (e.g. MSSQL Server).
- Proven ability in data development and interpretation, with strong statistical skills.
- Significant experience in public sector information management roles.
- In-depth knowledge of data development standards and policies.
- Strong understanding of national health agendas and government priorities.
- Experience in drafting reports and correspondence for senior management.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data insights.
