Overview
We are seeking a practical and hands-on Cisco Network Engineer to work remotely with travel requirements throughout the UK and Europe. The role focuses on both physical infrastructure, such as cabling and rack presentation, and logical networking using Cisco technologies. The successful candidate will enjoy a mix of independent and team-oriented work, ensuring minimal disruption in live operational environments while taking pride in their technical delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and upgrade Cisco network switches in production or field environments.
- Organize and present structured cabling and network cabinets professionally.
- Travel extensively across the UK and Europe, including overnight stays.
- Collaborate effectively with team members while working on-site and independently.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and professional representation at all times.
- Minimize disruption while operating in live environments during installations.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing, approximately 2-6 years at CCNA level.
- Practical experience with networking cabinets and structured cabling.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport required.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
