Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of water infrastructure projects. The contractor will work within a hybrid model, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate engineering designs for water and wastewater systems. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with industry standards while contributing to innovative design methods in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Produce, review, and develop civil engineering designs for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Prepare design calculations, technical drawings, and specifications in line with regulatory standards.
- Support feasibility assessments and provide early-stage technical input.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and coordinate design documentation effectively.
- Provide technical support during construction phases and resolve design queries.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design methods and engineering processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Civil Design Engineer within the water or infrastructure sector.
- Strong proficiency in civil design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroDrainage, etc.
- Sound understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure and associated civil assets.
- Strong technical reporting and drawing production skills.
- Experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
- Effective communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work independently while engaging proactively with stakeholders.
