Overview
This role involves providing coding services as a Clinical Coder with a focus on ICD10 and OPCS for a variety of clients, including those in the NHS and private healthcare sectors. The contractor will engage in resolving queries and issues related to clinical coding for multiple customers while collaborating with healthcare professionals at different levels. Being part of a dynamic team, the contractor will draw upon their accredited qualifications and specialized knowledge to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with data protection standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coding services using ICD10 and OPCS codes for various specialties.
- Address queries and issues related to coding from multiple clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coding accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with data security and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 for documentation and communication.
- Support team initiatives and contribute to training as needed.
Requirements
- Hold an accredited Clinical Coding Qualification.
- Recent completion of a clinical coding refresher course.
- Proficient in coding across all clinical specialties, particularly T&O and surgical specialties.
- Strong knowledge of Data Security and Protection Toolkit guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
