Overview

The Cloud Data & Platforms Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a significant cloud and data platform modernization initiative for a major media and entertainment organization. This 12-month contract position involves collaborating with various teams across Technology, Security, Data Governance, Architecture, and Business to successfully migrate enterprise workloads to new cloud environments, ensuring secure and scalable solutions. The successful candidate will drive the creation of cloud accounts, manage stakeholder engagement, and oversee project governance throughout the transformation process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the build and delivery of new AWS cloud accounts hosting critical Enterprise Platform workloads.
  • Manage the migration of key applications, services, and workloads into newly established cloud environments.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate data migration and platform transition activities, ensuring data integrity with zero loss.
  • Establish and execute communication and engagement plans to support operational readiness.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Cyber Security, Data Privacy, Legal, Architecture, Engineering, and Technology teams.
  • Monitor delivery performance across scope, cost, quality, timelines, and resources, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' Project Management experience delivering large-scale cloud, infrastructure, or data transformation programmes.
  • Proven track record managing cloud migration projects within complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience with AWS and familiarity with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure services, and data migration strategies.
  • Experience managing projects involving data governance, security controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level reporting.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Certifications in PMP and/or PRINCE2; Agile Project Management accreditation is desirable.
