Cloud FinOps Engineer

Overview

The Cloud FinOps Engineer will be responsible for optimizing cloud costs while maintaining performance within a global organization expanding its cloud capabilities. This hybrid role requires collaboration with Finance and Engineering teams to forecast, analyze, and effectively manage cloud expenditures. The contractor will focus on automating governance strategies and leading cost optimization initiatives across Azure and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time dashboards and reports to enhance visibility into cloud spending.
• Partner with Finance and Engineering teams to forecast and analyze cloud usage.
• Implement automation for tagging and cost governance strategies.
• Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing cloud costs across Azure and additional cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in FinOps or Cloud Cost Optimization.
• At least 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, with a focus on Azure.
• Proficient in Python and PowerShell, along with Azure automation tools.
• Preferred Azure certifications include AZ-400 and AZ-305.
