Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and assurance of secure, scalable technology solutions in a fully remote setting. This position requires a hands-on security professional who will collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams, ensuring that security requirements are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and refinement of security architecture for platforms and services.
- Participate in scoping and planning upcoming work to embed security requirements.
- Collaborate with solution and technical architects to design secure systems and review architectural decisions.
- Produce and maintain security architecture documentation, including threat models and risk assessments.
- Ensure security controls comply with organisational, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Conduct security spikes and technical investigations into emerging threats and best practices.
- Review designs and implementations for compliance with security principles and policies.
- Support incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation activities as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Architect in complex technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including identity and network security.
- Active SC Clearance.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, OWASP).
- Hands-on understanding of modern application architectures (microservices, APIs).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills for communicating security concepts effectively.
- Ability to balance risk, usability, and delivery speed in real-world environments.
