Overview
This Cloud Security Engineer position is focused on enhancing the security posture of Azure cloud environments for a global organization. The contractor will collaborate with Cloud Architects and Security teams to identify, evaluate, and remediate security vulnerabilities while implementing identity and access management controls. This role plays a crucial part in the development of security solutions compliant with ISO27001 and the EU CRA, bridging technical expertise with security best practices in a predominantly remote working environment.
Responsibilities
- Support cloud security initiatives by providing technical expertise and remediation work for Azure environments.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects to monitor and evaluate security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement identity and access management controls following security best practices.
- Develop new security solutions in alignment with ISO27001 and EU CRA compliance.
- Conduct assessments using software security best practices and Agile methodologies.
- Utilize SAST and DAST tools such as Burp Suite or Klocwork for security evaluations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer with a focus on Azure.
- Strong understanding of Azure Security Management and software security best practices.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools for application security testing.
- Knowledge of security architecture principles and frameworks including ISO27001.
- Ability to work remotely and travel occasionally within the UK or EU.
