Overview
We are looking for a Cloud Support Engineer who will work on managing and optimizing complex client environments with a focus on AWS and Terraform. This role involves collaborating with DevOps teams and ensuring operational excellence in various areas such as infrastructure management, automation, and incident response. The contractor will engage in a range of tasks including monitoring systems, automating processes, and enforcing security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage AWS services across compute, storage, networking, and serverless.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
- Monitor systems via CloudWatch and configure alerting.
- Automate tasks using Python and Bash.
- Enforce IAM and cloud security best practices.
- Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain runbooks and architecture documentation.
- Troubleshoot network and security incidents.
Requirements
- 4–5+ years of AWS operations experience.
- Expertise in Terraform.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Good understanding of VPCs, networking, and cloud security.
- Experience with CI/CD and monitoring tooling.
- Clear communication and documentation skills.
