Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Commercial Transformation Architect to lead architecture initiatives on strategic transformation programmes. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including programme leadership and business teams, to define current and target architectures while ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy. This hybrid role requires both strategic vision and hands-on delivery, supporting key phases such as design, procurement, and implementation of commercial capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Act as the architecture lead within a core programme team.
- Define the current-state and target-state architecture.
- Shape the technology strategy and roadmap for future commercial capabilities.
- Support discovery, market engagement, procurement, and technology selection activities.
- Define technical assessment criteria and support RFP/RFI processes.
- Evaluate vendor solutions and provide technology recommendations.
- Lead architectural decisions to simplify legacy platforms and enable modernisation.
- Establish architecture governance and support the creation of non-functional requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Enterprise or Domain Architecture.
- Strong understanding of retail business capabilities and commercial domains.
- Experience in architecting large-scale commercial transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with procurement and technology selection processes, including RFI and RFP.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proactive and delivery-focused approach.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed technical levels.
