Overview
The Electrical Commissioning Manager will take a leading role in overseeing commissioning and energisation activities for high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects, such as substations and renewable energy developments across the UK. Working with various stakeholders including commissioning engineers and subcontractors, this role ensures that all activities comply with safety and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning to energisation and handover.
- Coordinate commissioning engineers, SAPs, and specialist subcontractors.
- Review commissioning procedures and test documentation.
- Liaise with DNOs, National Grid, OEMs, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on HV electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of substations, switchgear, and transformers.
- Experience managing commissioning programmes and teams.
- Previous involvement in energisation activities.
- SAP experience is advantageous.
