Overview
The Connected Car Portfolio Specialist will join the R&D portfolio planning team to drive the development and growth of connected car service portfolios. Reporting to the Portfolio Strategy & Planning Manager, this role will ensure alignment between business and technical stakeholders, while focusing on delivering competitive portfolio proposals and improving the portfolio management process. This position is a unique opportunity to shape customer experience and vehicle features in the burgeoning connected car sector.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the Connected Car Portfolio Specialist roadmap and decision track.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment through pre-framing analysis of technical and market data.
- Manage the connected car requirements pipeline, prioritising for portfolio build.
- Coordinate with functional and business owners to identify portfolio gaps and support the EPIC backlog.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and regional feature analysis.
- Lead the Connected Car Innovation Hub to gather inputs and prioritize initiatives.
- Support the Bi-weekly Lean Portfolio Management forum by organizing meetings and maintaining action logs.
Requirements
- Strong experience in customer data analysis, process design, and requirements management.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with digital innovation frameworks or product discovery methods.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Degree in Engineering or Economics, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in product planning and program management within the automotive sector.
- Prior experience converting customer and business insights into technical solutions.
- Broad knowledge of connected car technology and market trends.
