Overview
The Mechanical Construction Manager will oversee and coordinate mechanical installation activities for a significant data centre upgrade and fit-out project. Working closely with subcontractors and project teams, the manager will ensure adherence to safety, quality, and programme standards while driving the project to completion in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors on site.
- Conduct regular walk-downs to monitor progress and identify issues.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Oversee QA/QC processes, inspections, and documentation.
- Monitor installation activities for compliance with health and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project teams, engineers, and client representatives.
- Support commissioning and handover activities as required.
- Drive programme adherence and proactively resolve site issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large-scale M&E or mission-critical projects.
- Previous data centre experience is highly desirable.
- Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills.
- Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and documentation.
- Ability to lead site activities and maintain programme momentum.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant mechanical or building services background.
