Overview
We are looking for an experienced HV Construction Manager to contribute to a landmark renewable energy project involving the development of a major HVDC Converter Station. This role is critical in managing the delivery of construction works, overseeing subcontractor activities, and ensuring that all operations comply with health, safety, environmental and quality standards. The position offers a long-term contract in a high-profile infrastructure environment, with accommodation provided.
Responsibilities
- Manage the safe delivery of HV construction works on site.
- Coordinate subcontractors and construction activities to programme.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Oversee installation, testing and commissioning activities in collaboration with engineering and commissioning teams.
- Monitor project progress, resolve site issues and report on performance.
- Liaise with the client, principal contractor and wider project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HV Construction Manager on major infrastructure or energy projects.
- Strong background delivering HV substations, HVDC converter stations or National Grid transmission projects.
- Excellent knowledge of construction management, HSE and quality processes.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
