Overview
The Construction Project Manager will oversee major structural alteration projects, specifically focusing on cut and carve works within high-profile developments in London. The successful contractor will work closely with specialist teams to manage the full lifecycle of projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timelines. Interaction with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and design teams, is essential to facilitate safe and efficient project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of cut & carve and structural alteration projects to meet programme, cost, and quality targets.
- Manage specialist subcontractors and oversee site logistics and phasing within complex building environments.
- Interface with design teams, clients, and supply chains to ensure effective project execution.
- Monitor project financials and provide regular progress updates, change control, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CDM, and site regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing cut & carve or heavy refurbishment projects.
- Strong track record in delivering technically challenging structural alteration projects.
- Excellent programme and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident in commercial awareness with the ability to monitor costs and drive project value.
- SMSTS and CSCS (Black/Platinum) preferred; degree or equivalent in Construction Management/Engineering is advantageous.
