Overview
We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join a systems integration team focused on delivering automation solutions in the energy sector. The role involves working on technically challenging projects, from software development to site commissioning, and offers the flexibility of both remote and on-site work. The contractor will play a critical role in developing and commissioning Siemens-based control systems while collaborating with various teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC software using Siemens TIA Portal.
- Configure Siemens HMI/SCADA systems as required.
- Produce and modify functional design specifications.
- Carry out software testing, including FAT and SAT activities.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Requirements
- Strong experience programming with Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1200/1500).
- Proven background in delivering industrial automation or process control projects.
- Experience in commissioning PLC control systems.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
