Overview
We are seeking a Cost Controller to join a dynamic team supporting one of the UK's largest offshore wind projects. The contractor will manage project costs, financial reporting, and budgeting, closely collaborating with Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams. This position is on-site in Swindon with some travel to London, aimed at ensuring optimal financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Support project cost forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams to track project performance and manage change impacts.
- Assist with project financing activities, including funding drawdowns, invoice processing, and monthly financial reconciliations.
- Support contractor cost verification, financial controls, and stakeholder reporting across major offshore wind projects.
Requirements
- Experience in project finance, cost control, or financial analysis within infrastructure, engineering, construction, or energy.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are advantageous.
- Experience within the energy, utilities, or offshore wind sector is desirable.
