Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to support the delivery of a significant offshore wind project during its construction phase. The successful candidate will play a critical role in project cost control, financial reporting, and expenditure management, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure financial governance and performance accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project cost forecasts from Final Investment Decision to completion.
- Produce and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor overall project expenditure and control costs.
- Review supplier and subcontractor invoices for compliance with contracts.
- Prepare financial information for reporting and project governance.
- Assist in cash flow management and financial planning.
- Build relationships with project and finance teams for clear financial reporting.
- Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or in Project Controls/Cost Management.
- Background in large-scale renewable energy, offshore wind, or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
