Overview

We are looking for an experienced Customer Data / Customer Foundations Architect to lead architecture initiatives within strategic transformation programmes. This role involves collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define customer data architectures and support technology selection processes. The successful candidate will engage with various teams, providing both strategic oversight and hands-on delivery in a hybrid working environment, requiring occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture direction across customer data transformation initiatives.
  • Define current-state and target-state customer architecture.
  • Design approaches for customer data consolidation and improved customer insight.
  • Support development of customer data models and ownership principles.
  • Work closely with data governance, data engineering, CRM, marketing, product, and technology teams.
  • Define architectural options, recommendations, and key decisions.
  • Support roadmap development and phased implementation planning.
  • Establish architecture governance across the programme and wider customer domain.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and Single Customer View capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of customer-centric data architectures and CRM ecosystems.
  • Experience with data governance and marketing technology.
  • Ability to influence business and technology stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven track record in Enterprise Architecture or Domain Architecture.
  • Experience working across complex transformation programmes.
  • Ability to manage procurement processes, including RFI, RFP, and vendor evaluations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
