Overview
The Cyber Security Architect will play a pivotal role in a Defence modernisation programme, focusing on hands-on delivery of security architecture and ensuring secure-by-design principles are integrated into engineering processes. Working closely with Senior Security Architects and Digital Engineering stakeholders, the contractor will produce key security architecture artifacts that enhance the overall security posture of the programme. This position is hybrid, requiring on-site work three days a week in an air-gapped environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Digital Engineering security artifacts and engagement reports.
- Create and review Security Requirements Specifications and Security Principles Framework.
- Develop Infrastructure Mapping Documents and Security Architecture Design Packs.
- Conduct threat modelling and produce associated reports.
- Maintain a library of reusable security patterns.
- Prepare knowledge transfer packs, including training materials and recorded walkthroughs.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Security Architecture and Security Consulting.
- Proven track record in designing and reviewing secure infrastructure.
- Demonstrated application of secure-by-design principles.
- Experience with Digital Engineering and secure architectural controls.
- SC clearance is essential; DV preferred or SC with ability to upgrade.
- Ability to work on-site in an air-gapped environment for three days a week.
