Overview
We are looking for a Cyber Security Architect to take on a key role in a Defence modernisation programme. The contractor will work within a team of Senior Security Architects and Digital Engineering stakeholders, focusing on the delivery of security architecture artifacts, threat modelling, and design assurance to enhance the overall security posture of the project. This position involves hybrid working, requiring on-site presence three days per week in an air-gapped environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver security architecture outputs including digital engineering security artifacts and engagement reports.
- Produce security requirements specifications and security principles frameworks.
- Develop infrastructure mapping documents and security architecture design packs.
- Conduct threat modelling and create reusable security pattern libraries.
- Prepare knowledge transfer packs, including training materials and recorded walkthroughs.
- Collaborate with the security architecture team to ensure alignment with secure-by-design principles.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and clarify security design requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in security architecture and security consulting.
- Strong background in designing and reviewing secure infrastructure.
- Proven ability to apply secure-by-design principles effectively.
- Experience with digital engineering and implementing secure architectural controls.
- SC clearance is essential; DV clearance preferred or SC with an ability to progress.
- Hands-on delivery experience in security architecture is required.
