Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Data Analyst for a 6-month freelance contract, focusing on data investigation and foundation building rather than traditional reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to audit, reconcile, and clean data across multiple systems, including Salesforce and Oracle CPQ. This role requires deep technical expertise and analytical skills to establish a trusted data foundation critical for advanced analytics and dashboarding.
Responsibilities
- Audit and reconcile data across Salesforce CRM, Oracle CPQ, and ERP systems to identify discrepancies.
- Perform root cause analysis on data inconsistencies, tracing issues back to process and configuration errors.
- Analyze and clean product, customer, and account data to resolve duplication and misclassification.
- Map data flows between systems and document breakdowns in information exchange.
- Highlight governance gaps affecting data quality and provide actionable recommendations.
- Build and deliver Power BI dashboards using validated data layers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on data definitions and ownership.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, including data modeling and SOQL.
- Proficient with Oracle CPQ and ERP systems data management (SAP, Oracle EBS, or NetSuite).
- Experienced in Power BI dashboard development, including DAX and data modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for complex joins, CTEs, and reconciliation queries.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and trace data lineage effectively.
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Master Data Management concepts and data governance frameworks is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data wrangling is beneficial.
