Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Test Engineer to join our Technology & Data function, focusing on ensuring the highest quality of applications, reports, data extracts, and data pipelines. The engineer will work collaboratively in an agile environment, delivering thorough testing strategies and contributing to the overall quality assurance processes for data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define test requirements based on project documentation and business needs.
- Design, automate, and execute tests for ETL/ELT and data warehouse solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to secure sign-off on comprehensive test results.
- Troubleshoot issues, track defects, and escalate risks as necessary.
- Maintain and evolve the long-term Data & Analytics Test Strategy.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies and support planning and estimations.
- Lead development of automated regression suites integrated into CI processes.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and governance standards.
Requirements
- Strong background in functional, system, acceptance, and automated testing.
- Experience with agile delivery, test automation, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, BI, and cloud testing methodologies.
- Advanced SQL knowledge (T-SQL or PL/SQL); experience with APS is desirable.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Microsoft Test, NUnit, SpecFlow, and Selenium.
- Experience with Visual Studio ALM/TFS or HP ALM.
- Ability to write complex queries and use scripting languages like C#, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
