Overview
We are seeking a Data Architect for a six-month contract focused on the railway industry. In this consultancy role, the contractor will lead a high-profile discovery process to assess the feasibility of live facilities data across the UK rail network. They will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Network Rail, train operating companies, and suppliers, to evaluate existing data sources and governance structures while providing recommendations for future developments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery process for live facilities data across the UK rail network.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current data sources and APIs.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, governance, and data standards.
- Produce recommendations to guide future investments and roadmap decisions.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to influence project direction.
- Analyze real-time data integration strategies and frameworks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Architect within the UK rail industry.
- Strong background in data discovery and feasibility assessments.
- Proficiency in APIs and governance of data.
- Experience with real-time data integration methodologies.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Availability to start in August and contribute immediately.
